Terumo Aortic are currently looking to recruit a Director of Programme Management to join our team, this is a fantastic opportunity for someone to join a business where they can truly make a difference and be part of an exciting journey. This role will primarily be responsible for the prioritisation and effective allocation of resources across the portfolio to ensure optimal delivery of business strategic objectives.

The main responsibilities of the role are;

  • Chair the Strategic Project Update meeting and make go I no go decisions alongside maintaining oversight of portfolio progress and ensuring
  • alignment to strategy.
  • Partner with other PMO Directors & Business Change team to establish appropriate levels of assurance across projects both in
  • business case preparation and TGB decision points and overall progress reporting.
  • Layout expectations for key analytics needed to inform Portfolio decisions.
  • Champion for TMO processes across the business, establishing the direction to senior decision makers on the portfolio as a whole.
  • Ensuring portfolio reflects changes in strategic direction (x matrix) escalating resourcing requests as appropriate to the VP of TMO.
  • Works with Change Team to develop understanding of stakeholder interests, impacts, and influences across transformation portfolio.
  • Directs TMO team to support and decision makers part of the transformation governance board.
  • Oversee maintenance of benefit tracking across the Portfolio. Change or stop activities that are no longer adding value.
  • Ensure that project/ programme risk management is fully embedded within the organisation and take decisions in response to escalated risks or opportunities

The successful candidate will possess;

  • Degree Level Qualification
  • Advanced PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification or equivalent
  • Significant experience leading and managing large programme teams with a demonstrated record of measurable success.
  • Excellent communication and engagement skills and ability to effectively communicate with all levels, including senior executive levels.
  • Demonstrated success in cross group collaboration, dealing with ambiguity, problem definition and focused solutions.
  • Demonstrated skills balancing competing critical path and programme complexity while managing to constrained budgets and schedules
  • Excellent facilitation, problem resolution, negotiation, cross-group collaboration, and organisational agility skills
  • Strong understanding of Product Development and Manufacturing processes
  • Experience of working in a highly regulated environment, preferably in a Medical Device or Pharmaceutical Manufacturing company
