Job Overview

Job purpose

The Fabrication apprentice will effectively shadow an experienced tradesperson, learning how best to support them and others in their day to day duties. During the apprenticeship the candidate will be expected to learn the key skills of a fabricator both through formal instruction and practice and by paying close attention to good work practices and adopting them as experience is gained on the job.

Assembly techniques, Working as part of a team, Attention to detail, hand and power tool operation, Working to manufacturing instructions, Working to a quality standard. Importance of customer satisfaction.

No formal qualifications required, however you should have a desire to learn from and support a skilled tradesperson on a journey to develop into becoming a skilled tradesperson yourself.

You should also be adept with manual skills, interested in learning to manufacture and assemble using hand and basic power tools. You will have a strong attention to detail and ability to work with others and operate as part of a team. A Good work ethic with initiative to self start is important in this role.
