About The Role
Please note that this role is not on the Home Office list of occupations eligible for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker route.
A flexible approach is essential as some short notice alteration to work patterns may be required to support the service. You will be required to undertake a range of duties - transportation of equipment, case notes, patients and other associated hospital items.
The successful candidate will possess a full clean driving licence with driving experience.
Your driving history will demonstrate compliance with current health and safety legislation. Ideally, candidates will have experience of driving a range of vehicles in a workplace environment and have a good knowledge of the local area. You will have a pleasant disposition, be a good communicator and if possible have experience of working with the public.
This is a permanent full time position, 37.5 hours per week, working Monday to Friday, 08.45am - 16.45.

Main duties
As a driver you will be required to undertake a range of duties that may include driving the hospital staff shuttle bus service which operates across our 3 sites. You will also be required to transport equipment, case notes, staff, patients and other associated hospital items around the Wakefield, Dewsbury and Pontefract areas.
Working as part of a team you will deliver a seamless transport service. You will be responsible for maintaining daily vehicle checks, along with ensuring relevant checklists are completed and other paperwork related to the role.
