Skills And Experience
To be successful in this role you will have:
- At least 2 years of experience working as a lawyer
- Experience in Commercial law, Family law, Litigation, Wills & Estate, Conveyancing and Property Law (experience in any other areas will also be considered)
- Experience with meeting clients and taking direct instructions
- Attention to detail and ability to handle complex matters
- Ability to work in a team and take instructions from the Principal
- Experience with Leap legal software is an advantage
Your Responsibilities Will Include But Not Limited To
- Running your own files with support from the Principal as required by the support staff
- Assisting Principal on files
- Court appearances (at Magistrates, County, Supreme, Federal Circuit and Family Courts) and attending mediations
- Enthusiastically interacting with clients and third parties on a daily basis
- Utilizing your time management skills and attention to detail, to handle competing deadlines
- Diligent 'time recording' and reporting to the Principal
- Liaising with clients, barristers, and other professionals
