Join Laing O'Rourke as a Senior Project Planner – Shape the Future of UK Defence Infrastructure
Laing O'Rourke is seeking an experienced Senior Project Planner to help deliver high-quality Single Living Accommodation (SLA) schemes for the UK Ministry of Defence. With a robust pipeline of work across multiple sites, this is a unique opportunity to play a key role in a long-term, high-profile national programme.
You will initially be based at one of our permanent offices in Worksop or Manchester (Sale), with the role transitioning to a site-based position in Lincoln as the project moves from Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) into delivery in 2026.
The Role
As a Senior Project Planner, you'll take full ownership of planning and controls across the project lifecycle—from early-stage strategy and design to final delivery. This is more than a traditional planning role: it's a leadership opportunity within a collaborative team, where you'll shape delivery strategies, mentor junior planners, and help evolve our alliance delivery model.
Key Responsibilities
We are an international engineering and construction company delivering state-of-the-art infrastructure and buildings projects for clients in the UK, Middle East and Australia.
As part of the Disability Confident scheme, we are committed to supporting candidates with long-term health conditions or disabilities. If you meet the essential criteria for the role, we will offer you an interview under our ‘Offer an Interview' scheme. Please inform us of any adjustments you may require during the recruitment process or in the workplace.
We Aim To Ensure Our Recruitment Process Is Accessible To All. If You Need This Application In An Alternative Format Or Would Like To Discuss The Process, Please Contact
