Skills and Experience Required Essential Experience of bookkeeping and financial management Good numerical and organisational skills Ability to use digital media and communication Charity experience Reliable and trustworthy and able to work collaboratively Genuine passion for our charity's vision and mission Strong commitment to supporting neurodivergent individuals with physical health co-occurrences Previous experience in financial roles (professional or voluntary) Familiarity with accounting software or spreadsheet applications Understanding of charity finance regulations Experience working with small non profits and marginalised groups Ideal Candidate Profile This role would be particularly well-suited to Retired professionals with financial or administrative experience who wish to contribute their expertise to a meaningful cause Individuals who can provide consistent support and availability for financial tasks in office hours People with genuine passion for addressing the intersection of neurodivergent conditions and physical health challenges Personal or professional experience with neurodivergent conditions and/or physical health challenges

  • SORP Strategic Thinker Capacity to think creatively and strategically to contribute to the charity’s long-term goals. Collaborative Leader Excellent communication skills with the ability to work digitally and collaboratively with Board members, staff, and external stakeholders. Term of Office 3 years standard trustee term, renewable by election/appointment with Chair and trustees. Support and Development Training and mentorship from current Treasurer when available and HR team Access to relevant training courses and resources Support from other committee members Opportunity to develop wider skills and passion helping others What will you be doing?

Financial Support Assist the Treasurer with day-to-day financial administration & record-keeping Support the preparation of monthly & annual financial reports Help maintain accurate financial records & documentation Assist with budget preparation and monitoring Supporting fundraising & Development efforts Help payments & expenditures as required by organisational policies Support grant applications & funding documentation Reporting & Compliance Collaborate in preparing financial reports for committee meetings & charity accounts Assist in ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations & charity law Support annual independent examination or audit processes with the finance team Help maintain financial & fundraising policies and procedures Deputy Responsibilities Act as Treasurer when the main Treasurer is unavailable Attend committee meetings & provide financial input Represent the organisation's financial interests as required Ability to use digital communication regularly in office/evening hours Ability to write to stakeholders as required Use of microsoft 365/sharepoint
