We have an opportunity for a Practice Based Educator to join their team of staff in the Nursing department.

This is a Full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.

Duties Of This Role Include

  • Plan, deliver, and evaluate training programmes to support staff induction, mandatory training, and clinical skills development.
  • Facilitate practical and theoretical learning sessions, simulations, and workshops aligned with current best practices and organisational needs.
  • Act as a mentor and clinical educator for nursing staff, students, and newly qualified nurses.
  • Ensure educational content is evidence-based, aligned with national standards, and reflective of NMC professional requirements.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment for learning across the clinical setting.
  • Work collaboratively with clinical leads, department managers, and external education providers to support organisational training plans.

Applicants Should Meet The Following Criteria

  • Registered Nurse (Adult) with valid NMC registration.
  • Significant experience in a clinical nursing role.
  • Experience delivering clinical teaching or supporting learning in practice.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to facilitate training, assess competencies, and support reflective practice.
