Phlebotomist

JOB SUMMARY To work within a multi disciplinary team ensuring the provision of high standards of service to the practice population. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES Perform venipuncture on patients Take blood pressure readings Accurately label, handle, and process specimens Maintain cleanliness and infection control standards Provide excellent patient care and reassurance during procedures Ensure proper documentation and data entry BROADER RESPONSIBILITIES When necessary to act as a representative of the practice and to carry out the above duties in a responsible and respectable fashion at all times, particularly as the way the practice is managed may be occasionally taken to reflect the standard of care provided. Driving licence and car owner Any other duties appropriate to the grading of the post.
