We are seeking a skilled Legionella Remedials Plumber to join our HBE UK operations team. This role involves the delivery of remedial works and inspections arising from Legionella Risk Assessments across a portfolio of long-standing clients. Working within a supportive and high-performing team, you will play a key role in helping clients meet regulatory standards and maintain safe water systems.
The successful candidate will carry out a range of remedial and plumbing works across client sites and must be comfortable operating independently, liaising with customers directly, and working to the high standards expected across Celnor Group businesses.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out plumbing remedial works in line with Legionella Risk Assessment findings, including:
- Removal of dead legs
- Installation of isolation valves
- Re-routing open vent pipework from CWST to drain
- CWST remedials (lid replacements, lid vent and overflow screen installation)
- Servicing and installation of Thermostatic Mixing Valves (TMVs)
- Perform disinfection works on domestic hot and cold water systems (chlorination)
- Complete calorifier and cold water storage tank inspections
- Survey client water systems, produce detailed parts lists and timeframes for remedial completion
- Liaise closely with Account Managers and Customer Service teams to ensure works are delivered on time and within budget
- Maintain high levels of customer service and professionalism on client sites
- Complete electronic records and documentation to required quality and accuracy standards
- Operate in line with internal systems, procedures, and Health & Safety requirements
- Contribute to the wider team’s success by collaborating and sharing expertise
- Considerable experience in water hygiene remedials
- City & Guilds Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing, or NVQ equivalent
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Competence working with copper pipework (15mm – 32mm) and waste pipes (21.5mm – 50mm)
- Strong planning and project management capability
- Able to work independently and deliver work to high standards
- Professional communication skills and customer focus
- Good understanding of COSHH regulations
- Awareness of the Approved Code of Practice (ACoP) L8 / HSG274
- Understanding of HTM04-01: Safe Water in Healthcare Premises
- Experience using hydraulic press-fit technologies
- Ability to plan efficient daily work routes and adapt to reactive tasks
