Are you an experienced Veterinary Surgeon who is looking to make a difference in a rehoming environment?
We’re looking for a Clinical Veterinary Surgeon to join our Rehoming centre team in Kenilworth. We’re open to various working arrangements for this role; whilst we're aiming for four days per week, we're welcoming applications from candidates looking to work 2-5 days per week.
What does this role do?
As Clinical Veterinary Surgeon, you will:
- provide excellent clinical care to all dogs in the rehoming centre or foster, including neutering, dentals and minor surgical procedures, maintaining veterinary obligations at all times,
- be the source of veterinary information for the rehoming centre with support from our London vet team, providing crucial veterinary input on various matters from biosecurity to case reviews,
- work collaboratively with colleagues to organise day-to-day operations of the veterinary suite, and management of dogs in our care including with the training and behaviour team,
- provide veterinary advice and guidance to colleagues across the rehoming centre and members of the public, such as adopters.
Please note, this role is a fixed term contract for 18 months.
Could this be you?
To be successful in this role, you’ll be a Registered MRCVS with a commitment to our work, aims and values. You’ll have experience as sole charge, with the ability to run a vet suite efficiently while delivering a high standard of patient care. You’ll also have excellent communication and organisational skills, building strong relationships with teams across the centre and the central Veterinary team. Ideally, you’ll have an understanding of providing veterinary care in the rehoming or charity environment.
