An established UK company is seeking an Accounts Assistant to support its finance team with tasks like reconciliations, VAT submissions, and invoice processing. The role requires strong Excel skills and is based full-time in the office, Monday to Friday.

The client is a well-established UK-based company with a strong presence in the beauty and salon industry, operating multiple locations across prestigious areas. They maintain a modern, trend-focused brand and a supportive head office environment.

Description

  • Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Process and post purchase invoices and credit notes using Access Financials.
  • Import and reconcile daily sales takings and supplier statements.
  • Submit VAT returns and post period-end journals.
  • Handle petty cash expenses and investigate discrepancies.
  • Scan and manage financial documents via Access Capture.

Profile

The successful candidate will be a detail-oriented and proactive team player with strong communication skills and a willingness to support tasks beyond their core responsibilities. They should have intermediate IT skills, particularly in Excel, and ideally some experience with Access Financials.
