Job Summary
The Ministry of Defence employs over 50,000 Civil Servants. Within that, the Army Top Level Budget (TLB) employs around 12,000 MOD Civil Servants located at over 300 locations. Ours is a diverse workforce, with roles ranging from trainers, human resources, teachers, and psychologists to storekeepers, financiers, project and programme managers, and policy secretariat staff. There are many different functions and professions delivering key outputs for the Army.
JMC Southeast is a stand-alone Joint Military Command (JMC) with a fully integrated range of staff including Regular Army, Civil Service, Army Reservists and Aspire contractors. HQSE looks after the Army’s interests in the eight counties of the South-East, including the Isle of Wight, centred on the four pillars of ‘UK Operations’, ‘Firm Base’, ‘Engagement’ and ‘Cadets.’ The breadth of it’s responsibilities is wide and multifaceted, from assurance of the Field Army to command of UK Resilience Operations, all tasks that underpin the success of the Army on operations.
JMC SE enables the delivery of the Firm Base in support to the Army. The Firm Base is the Army infrastructure which supports the Lived Experience of our Service Personnel and their families who live there. The Headquarters will deliver Real Life Support to Units within the region. It is also responsible for engagement with the civilian community, employers and acts as the proponent for UK Resilience in times of need.
This is an exciting time, as we establish a new Headquarters whilst continuing to delivery operational outputs to our dependent units, military personnel, and their families.

Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity to join the team as a Cadets Clerk to provide administrative support to JMC SE Cadet branch and undertake a variety of tasks on behalf of the Combined Cadet Force (CCF) and Army Cadet Force (ACF) units within JMC SE Area of Responsibility (AoR).

Job Description

- Process applications for transport requests for the ACF and CCF (A) utilising the CLARITY booking system. Checking for entitlement and obtaining One Page Business Cases where required. Amend booking details where necessary to avoid unnecessary additional costs
- Assisting Executive Officer (EO) Cadets in the overall process of invoices, including CCF Annual Training Grant and CCF (A) travel and subsistence claims. This will include electronic transfer of claims and maintaining auditable records
- Provide admin support for the annual ACF and CCF conference
- Action the monthly Joint Personnel Admin (JPA) pay run for CCF (A) Cadet Force Adult Volunteers (CFAV) and School Staff Instructors
- Verify and prepare CCF (A) travel claims for approval by EO Cadets
- Amend CCF (A) CFAV and School Staff Instructor bank details in JPA
- Maintain Home to Duty Travel details for appropriate CCF (A) CFAV and School Staff Instructors in JPA and WESTMINSTER
- Input of information to WESTMINSTER as required. This includes CFAV personal detail for all conditions of service. Interrogating and extracting MI and statistical data from WESTMINSTER for assurance reports
- Provide direction and guidance to Units on the use of WESTMINSTER
- Assisting EO Cadets in the Volunteer Allowance process via WESTMINSTER, to include monitoring claims from CFAV, interrogating system and extracting data for analysis and forecasting
- Assisting the Higher Executive Officer (HEO) and EO Cadets relating to ACF Detachment Inspections and CCF Biennial Reviews
