About The Role

Overseeing all of the Group’s financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning, ensuring compliance with regulations and working closely with auditors and lenders.

Closely managing cashflow requirements for the Group.

The Group FD will lead the business finance directors and managers to ensure accurate, complete and timely reporting.

Providing insightful and informative financial reporting which provide the basis for strategic decision making for the senior leadership team.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting and Compliance

  • Prepare and present financial reports to senior management
  • Oversee the preparation of annual financial statements
  • Audit relationship management
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations
  • Ensure company finance policies are communicated all the way from the top down in the company and that they are always followed
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with accounting standards

Cashflow & Treasury Management

  • Manage the Group’s cash flow and ensure sufficient liquidity.
  • Debt management.
  • Bank relationship management
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize cash flow.

Strategic Financial Planning

  • Lead the budgeting, forecasting and financial planning process.
  • Provide financial advice and guidance to senior management
  • Develop and implement financial strategies to support the Group objectives.
  • Sponsor implementation of financial reporting tools (including ERP)
  • Actively participate in the execution of M&A activities

People Management

  • Lead and develop finance teams and encourage collaboration across all business units. Assign short, medium and long-term objectives and ensure everyone understands their roles and responsibilities.
  • Monitor teams performance and provide feedback
  • Oversee alignment of procedures and processes across the Group

Qualifications

Qualifications, Knowledge, Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field
  • Qualified accountant or MBA or equivalent

  • Excellent written and oral skills

Experience

  • Experience within an multi-location/divisional business
  • Ability to create and execute on medium- and long-term strategy
  • Proven ability to complete projects and achieve results in an ambiguous work environment.
  • Strong leadership and ability to manage multicultural teams
  • Experience in M&A
