We’re looking for an enthusiastic hands on People Advisor to join our team on a fixed term basis. From day to day queries to change programmes and occasional casework, you’ll help is deliver practical, people focused HR support.

Key Responsibilities
- Providing proactive, practical advice and coaching to managers on a range of people management issues, including performance, wellbeing and employee engagement to build confidence and capability in people leadership.
- Acting as a first point of contact for employees on HR related queries, offering clear, empathetic and consistent advice in line with policy, best practice and employment law.
- Monitoring and managing the central HR inbox, ensuring timely, accurate and professional responses to queries and escalating complex matter appropriately.
- Representing the people services function on cross-functional projects, contributing to the design, development and implementation of initiative aimed at enhancing the employee experience such as new systems, services or engagement tools.
- Providing accurate guidance on employment legislation, policies and procedures, ensuring compliance and best practice across all areas of HR.
- From time to time, support with the management of formal employee relations cases ensuring fairness, consistency and adherence to internal procedures.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR practices, processes and policies, identifying opportunities to enhance service delivery and employee satisfaction.
What you need to succeed in the role
- Is confident giving practical advice and knows when to ask questions or dig deeper.
- Can build trust and communicate clearly with both managers and employees.
- Is organised, responsive and can manager competing priorities.
- Is comfortable getting stuck in - whether that’s coaching a manager, answering inbox queries or jumping into a project.
- Understands employment law and HR policies.
- Brings energy, a solutions focused attitude and wants to make a positive impact on the employee experience.
- Isn’t afraid of change and ideally wants to help drive it!

Working Arrangements
This is a remote role.
All applicants must be eligible to undergo NPPV3 (Non Police Personnel Vetting Level 3 )and SC vetting clearances. Successful applicants will require NPPV3 clearance to have been cleared before starting with PDS.
