Position
The Knowledge Manager plays a critical role in promoting operational excellence and building a strong foundation for Sulmara’s continued growth. Responsible for owning and developing Sulmara’s Knowledge Management System, the role ensures that technical, operational, and commercial knowledge is captured, structured, and shared effectively across the business. By supporting the integration of innovation, standardising delivery practices, and enabling knowledge transfer globally, the Knowledge Manager contributes to improved performance, increased consistency, and the long-term scalability of Sulmara’s operations.
Main Duties And Responsibilities
- Own and manage Sulmara’s Knowledge Management System, ensuring it supports technical, operational, and commercial excellence across global delivery.
- Develop, maintain, and standardise documentation covering processes, procedures, guidance materials, and best practices relevant to Sulmara’s service delivery.
- In collaboration with subject matter experts (SMEs) across the business, and in coordination with the T&I Department, support the structured handover of innovation by developing the necessary knowledge management documentation to enable operational rollout.
- Collaborate closely with Survey Leads, Project Managers, SMEs, and Regional Teams to capture and share knowledge across all aspects of project execution—onshore and offshore.
- Develop and maintain technical and operational reference materials to be used by global teams for consistent and efficient delivery.
- Support the development and delivery of technical and operational training in coordination with the Training and Competency department.
- Lead the integration of lessons learned into the Knowledge Management System, ensuring continuous improvement of processes and delivery standards.
- Provide ad hoc technical and operational support to field teams, ensuring alignment with documented procedures and practices.
- Ensure the Knowledge Management System remains current, accessible, and aligned with Sulmara’s evolving business needs.
- Promote knowledge sharing as a core component of operational culture.
- Adhere strictly to the Company's procedures and policies.
- Perform any other delegated duties or tasks as instructed by your Line Manager.
Skills Requirements
- Must be a driven individual, possess a positive attitude, and promote the business positively in the community.
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- A strong and committed team player capable of prioritising tasks.
- Must have a in depth technical understanding of offshore survey.
- Must be well organised with good task management skills.
Experience, Competency And Qualifications
- Experience in Training and Competency preferable within the Energy industry.
- Experience writing and delivering training programs.
- Extensive experience in the offshore survey industry, ideally in a Senior capacity with management experience.
- Suitable qualification or relevant experience in Geomatics or Survey field.
