The HR Manager’s purpose is to provide project management of a variety of HR projects as required and be the main point of contact for all ship-based HR requirements from our crew.
The HR Manager position is required to hold the below;
Certification;
- GCSE (A to C grades) in Maths & English
- Intermediate level in Word, Excel & Powerpoint
- Advanced level in Word, Excel & Powerpoint
- A-VI/1 Basic Training
- A-V/2 Crisis Management and Human behaviour
- Seafarer Record Book (National, Flag State or Other)
- Yellow Fever
- Covid Vaccination
- Seafarers' Medical
- Passport
Professional Experience;
- Held similar rank in previous company
- Cruise ship experience in same or lower rank
- Experience delivering training and presentations
- Experience developing training materials
- Experience in staff training and development
Knowledge & Skills
Maritime & Regulatory Knowledge
- Proficient understanding of maritime conventions (STCW, SOLAS, MARPOL, MLC, etc.)
Communication & Presentation
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
- Skilled in public speaking and delivering presentations
- Confident and engaging when speaking to groups
- Excellent overall communication and interpersonal skills
Human Resources & Leadership
- HR management skills, including appraisals and personal development plans)
- Ability to influence, build rapport, and lead teams
- Successful conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
- Caring, approachable, and supportive leadership style
Organisational & Interpersonal Skills
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Ability to follow policies and procedures
- Team player with a flexible and cheerful attitude
Candidates must have relevant industry experience in a similar position.
In return, you will receive a competitive salary and a 2:2 work rotation of 2 months on board followed by 2 months of leave.
