About The Role

Working within the Site Services Department the role of Site Technician Supervisor will involve this individual splitting their working work into two key disciplines:

  • Office based support for the Site Services Manager carrying out key day to day tasks such as project planning support, arranging internal and external training and customer / DNO authorisations, completing new installation risk assessments and method statements, non-conformance reviews and resolutions, etc.
  • Field based senior technician role is to carry out the mechanical and electrical maintenance and installation of BRUSH Switchgear throughout the UK, ensuring that Switchgear is repaired, maintained or installed as per BRUSH standards and Specifications. The role requires the individual to work on new and heritage BRUSH Switchgear products throughout the UK and taking the lead role when dealing with clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Report directly to the Site Services Manager
  • Taking the lead role at site for BRUSH when liaising with our customers, when required
  • undertaking all the Electrical and Mechanical duties involved with Maintenance, Repairs and Installation of BRUSH Switchgear.
  • Carry out investigations at site relating to quality or client switchgear failures.
  • Holding safety documents to allow BRUSH Engineers undertake work on isolated and earthed Switchgear.
  • Carrying out HV pressure testing.
  • Upholding the company’s values and commitments
  • Advising clients with technical issues they may encounter.
  • Providing comprehensive reports of technically issues encountered whilst carrying out duties.
  • Carrying out SF6 Gassing works
  • Reading, understanding BRUSH Engineering Drawings
  • Supervising other members of the team and training them at site.
  • Conducting Site Safety Audits.
  • Managing field technicians PPE requirements
  • Managing field technicians new and refresher training needs
  • Managing field technicians DNO authorisations
  • Supporting the investigation of and resolution of field raised NCRs.
  • Provide technical support for live projects and prospective enquiries via telephone and in virtual meeting forums.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Experience & Skills:

Qualifications

  • Strong Electrical or Mechanical Background with apprenticeship or with HNC Electrical/Mechanical background.
  • Proven Track record of working on DNO HV Systems/ Substations
  • Extensive Experience on a diverse range of HV/HV switchgear installations
  • DNO authorised Safety Document Holder
