About The Role:
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the production of timely and accurate monthly Management Reports and Accounts, ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Including all necessary regional reports for major contracts in the business unit.
- Build effective project reporting on large installation works
- Act as a trusted advisor to key stakeholders by providing financial guidance, analysis, and insights to support business objectives.
- Monitor key performance indicators and variance analysis to provide a clear understanding of the drivers of growth to inform and develop both short-term performance and the strategic direction of the business unit.
- Develop and maintain effective business partnering relationships across different operational teams.
- Collaborate with Operational teams to improve working capital performance, with particular reference to debt and stock management.
- Provide effective financial information to the operations of the business to enable visibility of performance and assist with strategies around efficiencies and enhancing profitability.
- Preparation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts to manage the divisional results and expectations across the business.
- Use Microsoft Dynamics & Power BI to analyse financial data, create insightful reports, and identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Support in the preparation of financial presentations and reports for senior management and board meetings.
- Compliance with group finance policy and procedure and establishment of additional policy and procedure as required.
- Finance lead on security systems software ensuring efficient transfer of accurate data.
- Work with the construction sector team to ensure accurate applications for works completed and full backups provided.
Key working relationships:
- Operational Teams, including Contract Managers & Operations Directors
- At times supporting Commercial Finance Director & Managing Director
About You:
- Qualified Accountant (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) or Qualified by experience.
- Experience of preparing, reviewing, and interpreting Management Accounts
- Experience of budgeting and forecasting
- Experience of Project accounting and reporting would be desirable.
- Commercial acumen, with an ability to interpret numbers and communicate key issues in a concise and clear manner to a range of audiences.
- Possessing a high level of attention to detail, but commercially focussed.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex financial information.
- Engaging client facing capabilities to build and develop relationships.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Advanced Excel skills and the ability to work with complex financial models.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Able to deal with a fast-paced continually evolving role.
- Curious, determined with bags of initiative.
- Analytically minded, able to grasp the big picture but also have strong attention to detail when required.
