Job Overview
We’re looking for individuals with healthcare experience to join our Dermatology team.
The Dermatology outpatient clinics see adults and paediatrics, both acute and emergency cases. The services include skin surgery, skin cancer assessment, patch testing, the management of inflammatory skin conditions including phototherapy and topical treatments.

- Set up and close clinics, ensure equipment is ready to use and stock levels are maintained
- Contribute to patient assessments such as blood pressure monitoring, oxygen saturation levels, body temperature, medical photography, Blood glucose, urinalysis and pregnancy testing
- Recording your actions accurately in patient notes.
- Assisting in various clinics such as minor surgical procedures, patch testing, treatment room, skin cancer assessment.
Main duties of the job

- You don’t need any formal qualifications in maths, but you will need to have numerical and analytic skills to do patient observations
- You will need to have a customer focused approach which is essential to providing patients with the best possible experience
- You will need to be able to use IT systems and databases
- You will have the skill to focus on the details with the ability to spot problems.
- You will know when you are able to correct or when to escalate.

Essential criteria
- A Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) Level 3. This could be an NVQ, BTEC or equivalent international qualification in healthcare.
- Able to demonstrate knowledge and skills gained through the equivalent level of employment experience.
- Care certificate
- Competent in venepuncture

- Able to understand and communicate in English both verbally and in writing.
- Numerical and analytic skills to do patient observations
- Previous experience working in healthcare
- Able to work in a team environment
