Clinical Nurse Specialist

Job Overview

• To lead on education and training, promoting and ensuring continuous learning, sustained best practice and service innovation.
• To support and motivate the team in the efficient day to day operational management and service delivery of the Riverside sexual health services.
• To work in partnership with the Lead Consultant, Clinic Manager and multidisciplinary staff, ensuring efficient and effective use of resources to optimise quality and national targets.
• To network with sexual health colleagues at local, regional and national level.
  
  

Main duties of the job

• Act as a role model, demonstrating high standards of care and providing clinical leadership to others.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service, collaborative practice, problem solving and priority setting skills
• Promotes a culture that supports self-management.
• To maintain a high clinical profile and facilitate application of theory to practice.
• To challenge tradition and initiate a robust change strategy where appropriate.
• To inspire others and encourage them to seek advice and solutions to problems.
• Provide education and training to other professionals involved in patient care.

• Nursing Degree or evidence of working at level 3
• Teaching qualification e.g. ENB 998 or City and Guilds 730

• Experience of mentoring/supporting students and trainees

• Non medical prescriber
