Role Description

You will line manage a team of Occupational Therapists and Primary Assessors, managing the allocation of cases and oversight of caseload throughput. You will ensure there is a high standard of assessment and clinical reasoning, and that staff have the necessary skills and knowledge.

You will develop and maintain high professional standards for the team in line with current and future legislative and corporate requirements and will quality assure assessments and major adaptation requests.

You will assist the Early Intervention Manager in ensuring the delivery of high quality and effective services to adults, children, families and carers. You will assist the Early Intervention Manager to manage the team’s performance and deputise in the Early Intervention Manager’s absence. You will also play a key role in driving forward our Progress with Unity vision, working in partnership across the council, with residents and external partners to reduce inequality, improve outcomes and ensure Wigan is a place where everyone can thrive.
