Assistant Management Accountant
The Role:
Due to the success of our business, we are looking to recruit a Assistant Management Accountant. You will be assisting in the creation of accounting data and ensure its accuracy and integrity within the company accounting system. You will also assist the Senior Management Accountant in producing, reviewing and providing analysis and commentary on the management and statutory accounts and how they compare to annual budget and forecast.

As our Assistant Management Accountant your key responsibilities will be:
- Accuracy and integrity of the data in the ledgers.
- Assistance in the control of financial spend.
- Help to foster an environment of understanding and awareness of financial controls within the non-financial community.
- Development of high-quality reporting documents.
- Assisting with the production of the monthly management accounts.
- Assist in the review of Capital expenditure and the associated depreciation.
- P&L and Balance Sheet reconciliation.
- Bank Reconciliation.
- Preparation of monthly journals.
- Review calculation of prepayments and accruals.
- Nominal account reconciliations.
- Control account reconciliations.
- Prepare and review the Monthly VAT returns
- Review and optimise processes in financial transaction and reporting.
- Assisting with budgeting and forecasting.
- Assist with inventory and work with the logistic team.
- Review the deferred cost and deferred revenue calculation and journals.
- Assisting the Senior Management Accountant and Chief Accountant.
- Analysis of all P&L and Balance sheet movements YTD and in the month versus annual budget and forecast.
- Provision of inciteful narrative to explain key variances and trends.
- Preparation of departmental spend reviews.
- Ensure integrity of postings to all main ledgers.
What you’ll bring to toob:
- Excellent communication skills at all levels.
- Strong Management Accounting track record of experience and achievement.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel user.
- Business Central experience.
- High level of attention to detail.
- A self-motivated, committed and team oriented individual.
Preferred technical / professional qualifications:
- ACCA part-qualified completed applied knowledge and applied skill level or
- CIMA part-qualified completed the operational and management level
