About The Role

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Assistant to join our team. As a Facilities Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our facilities by working with the Estates and H&S Manager to make sure that the building is in the best condition for the employees who work there and is H&S compliant.

Principle duties and responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Administrative duties, such as answering phone calls and calling out for contractors if the building needs repairing.
  • Maintaining stock is also part of your job role. You may have to purchase orders and help with renovations to support the maintenance operatives. Room moves, staff moves and making up furniture.
  • Assisting with an issue with IT or the building, you will be contacted to organise the repair or the maintenance of the issue. For example, you may need to order a new printer, or call a specialist in to fix it.
  • Security, you will be responsible for managing the access to the building. You could be issuing access keys, a swipe system or any other security systems the business may have.
  • Calling contractors for maintenance of the facilities of the building such as the lighting, smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, heating, air conditioning, hygiene and waste disposal. Any building requirements as needed.
  • You may also have to carry out a risk assessment on these facilities and carry out repairs if they are not up to standard (full training will be given).

Person Specification

  • Full driving license is essential.
  • Experience of working in an administrative or similar facilities role.
  • Experience of conducting risk assessment is desired or willingness to learn.
