Oasis Academy Nunsthorpe is looking for an Unqualified Teacher to join our team.
Qualifications
These posts are open to anyone who has the required qualifications and feels they can (or have strong potential to) plan and prepare lessons, teach, assess and report on pupils’ development, progress and attainment. Applications are welcomed from colleagues with the following qualifications:

The person undertaking this role is expected to work within the policies, ethos and aims of the Academy and to carry out such other duties as may reasonably be assigned by the Principal. The postholder will be expected to have an agreed flexible working pattern to ensure that all relevant functions are fulfilled through direct dialogue with employees, contractors and community members.
The above responsibilities are subject to the general duties and responsibilities contained in the Statement of Conditions of Employment.
The job description and allocation of particular responsibilities may be amended by agreement and will be discussed annually as part of a professional development interview.

- have a first degree*, usually 2.2 or above as awarded by a UK HE institution, or an equivalent qualification; (equivalent qualifications from overseas will need NARIC certification).
- have achieved GCSE (minimum grade C / level 4) or equivalent in English and Mathematics and Science
- have an acceptable level of competency in fundamental literacy, included use of Standard English, and in Numeracy.
- be highly motivated colleagues who seek to maintain and promote the academy’s high standards in teaching and learning
- have a level of interest in the theory and practice of teaching and learning
- Be an advocate for the Oasis ethos and 9 Habits.
