The Adult and Community Learning (ACL) Service is dedicated to transforming Dudley into a thriving hub focused on empowering adults to achieve sustainable employment. We offer comprehensive training, qualifications, and personal development opportunities that truly make a difference. Our Information, Advice, and Guidance (IAG) service proudly holds the Matrix Quality Standard, underscoring our commitment to supporting learners at every stage. Our programs are delivered in three welcoming and accessible neighbourhood learning centres, as well as various community venues.
We Are Currently Seeking
A highly motivated, well-qualified, and inspiring Outreach Worker to join our Area South team based at Dudley Wood NLC. This role is pivotal in providing tailored support to individuals, helping them achieve their personal growth objectives. Key goals include equipping parents/carers to support children’s learning, building confidence, fostering community development, promoting health and well-being, preparing for further learning and employment, and enhancing essential skills such as English, ESOL, Maths, and Digital skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively recruit and engage the local community in appropriate learning and employability opportunities.
- Deliver information, advice, and guidance to adults, ensuring referral to appropriate support services as needed.
- Collaborate with employment services and other relevant agencies to ensure awareness of vacancies and workforce development needs.
- Support the capacity building of community and voluntary groups within the locality.
- Minimum full Level 2 qualifications (5 GCSEs A-C or equivalent), including literacy and numeracy.
- Possession of or willingness to work towards NVQ Level 3 in Advice and Guidance Work.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft packages, including Word and Excel.
