About The Role

Are you looking for an exciting role, in which you can lead the operations aspect of our Unscheduled Care Co-ordination Hub (UCCH)? This full time role will be based in either Colchester or Ipswich with an expectation to travel to Partner Locations when required. You will also need to split your time in and out of hours, weekends included This new full time position will work with a multitude of stakeholders across Practice Plus Group and the East of England Ambulance Trust (EEAST) to maintain our patient centred approach, directly improving the efficiency of the service The UCCH vision is to ensure that ‘People receive the right care, in the right place, first time, every time’ as outlined in the Government paper Next Steps to Put the People at the Heart of Care

What you'll be doing

  • Actively monitor and report on service performance and work with colleagues and partners to review any poor performance against KPIs
  • Work with the Clinical Lead to monitor and evaluate the performance of staff by means of regular appraisals and audits necessary to provide a quality service.
  • Maximise and monitor pathway arrangements for new and existing UCCH referral services and ensure that these are implemented and reviewed
  • Collaborate to ensure delivery of Key Performance Indicators for both UCCH and individual team members.
  • Oversee robust governance arrangements, including arrangements to manage potential conflicts of interest.
  • Ensure UCCH staff rotas are complete and all gaps are filled whenever possible, where there are gaps in the rota fill provide an effective action plan
  • To assist with the recruitment, selection and training of new Staff including their on-going training

What we’ll look for in you

Essential
  • Previous experience within an Operational Lead position, preferably within the healthcare sector
  • Experience managing people, ensuring UCCH rotas are fully covered
  • Understanding of CQC standards and related governance procedures
  • Good Basic Education
  • Proven background with problem solving and troubleshooting
  • Experience working with performance and quality data to review performance against KPIs
  • Knowledge of local healthcare system
Desirable
  • Qualification / higher education in Management
  • Experience with Partnership working
