Contract: Permanent

Hours of Work: 40 hours per week - Monday to Friday

Salary: Salaries will be dependent on skills and experience, to be discussed on application

Location: This is a hybrid role, working between home and a commutable distance from our Coylton Mill site, with regular presence required in and around Mole Valley Farmers

Mole Valley Feed Solutions is looking for a dynamic and commercially minded Alternative Feeds Trader to join our expert team. Reporting to the Trading Manager, you’ll play a key role in driving volume and margin through the trading of alternative feeds.

About This Role

• Providing advice and support to farmers to enable them to make informed purchasing decisions
• Trade alternative feeds such as soya, rape, wheat, and barley to our farming customer base
• Support the sales of the added value and processed grain products, such as fats & caustic wheat
• Building longstanding relationships with our customers, suppliers, and field sales team
• Proactively seek new customers through regular prospecting
• Liaising with our suppliers to ensure our customers receive the best possible pricing and service levels
  
  

For This Role, You Will Need

• A keen interest to develop an understanding of the agricultural commodities market, trends, pricing, and demand
• Passionate with a sound understanding of UK agriculture and terminology
• Drive and determination, and comfortable working within a sales environment
• Previous experience working in an agricultural commercial environment, or any relevant agricultural experience would be advantageous.
