Description

Accounts Receivable Clerk responsibilities:

  • Generate and issue accurate invoices to clients in a timely manner.
  • Monitor and follow up on outstanding payments, ensuring accounts are up to date.
  • Reconcile accounts receivable ledgers to ensure the accuracy of financial records.
  • Assist in resolving client billing inquiries and disputes professionally.
  • Prepare regular reports on accounts receivable status for management review.
  • Collaborate with the Accounting & Finance team on month-end closing activities.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations in all transactions.
  • Support process improvements within the accounts receivable function.

Profile

A Successful Accounts Receivable Clerk Should Have

  • A strong understanding of accounts receivable processes and principles.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • Clear communication skills for client and internal interactions.
  • A proactive approach to identifying and resolving discrepancies.
  • Experience working in the business services industry is advantageous.
