Position Overview
As a Yard Manager at AVS Fencing, you play a vital role in overseeing the daily operations of our yard, ensuring efficiency, safety, and exceptional service delivery while managing an enthusiastic team dedicated to achieving company goals.
Location - Horse Cross, Standon Road, Ware, SG11 2PU.
Working Hours
This full-time position entails a 44.5-hour workweek from Monday to Friday, 07:30 to 17:00, and alternate Saturdays from 08:00 to 12:00.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the coordination and management of yard operations to ensure timely service and high safety standards.
- Maintain a well-organised, efficient, and clean yard environment.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance customer service and satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and procedures.
- Manage and train yard staff, providing guidance and performance feedback.
- Facilitate stock control and inventory management, including ordering supplies as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments to achieve seamless operational processes.
- Proven experience in a managerial role within a similar yard environment - essential.
- Live and Valid Forklift License - essential.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficient in using computer systems and inventory management software.
- A keen commitment to maintaining health and safety standards.
- Ability to adapt in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Salary range £29,500 - £31,000, dependant on experience and qualifications.
