Working within a CQC Outstanding-rated hospital, The Horder Centre is looking for an experienced Medical Secretary to join our fantastic and supportive Medical Secretarial Team on a full-time basis.

Working within a close-knit, highly skilled team of medical secretaries, you will be responsible for delivering professional and efficient administrative support to our accredited Consultants. Your role will include typing clinical letters and operation reports, managing confidential records, handling patient enquiries, and liaising across departments to ensure our clinics run smoothly and efficiently. This is a vital role in helping us maintain our 5-star service and exceptional standards for every patient who walks through The Horder Centre doors.

About you:

  • Prior experience as a Medical Secretary in a healthcare setting is essential.
  • Confident audio typist (minimum RSA II or equivalent).
  • Friendly and professional, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to remain calm under pressure and work to tight deadlines.
  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and IT savvy – familiar with Microsoft Office and other systems.
  • Proactive, forward-thinking, and eager to learn and develop.
  • Demonstrates a clear commitment to delivering outstanding patient care and service.
  • Ideally has experience using DGL software and knowledge of medical terminology.

Location: The Horder Centre, Crowborough

Contract: Permanent – Full-time (37.5 hours per week)

Work Pattern: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm

Salary: Between £23,809.50 - £27,185.00 per annum (Experience Dependant)
