Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist

The successful candidates will work independently autonomous practitioners, as a member of the Paediatric Speech and Language Therapy team delivering a service to children with a wide range of communication difficulties. Assessing, differentially diagnosing and treating a specified caseload of children with speech, language and communication impairments some of whom will be from a variety of ethnic and social backgrounds. This may include working with interpreters and Bilingual Speech and Language Therapy Assistants to assess all languages which children are exposed to. Assessments will take place in school settings as well as clinic, and it is therefore essential that you are able to travel around the borough.

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team providing advice for the statutory assessment and EHCP annual review process. Liaising with, and training other health, education and social service professionals; and to work in partnership with parents/carers and external agencies to ensure the delivery of a high quality service.
