As a Research and Development Associate 2, you will play a key role in the production and maintenance of plant and seed materials, ensuring high standards to meet customer requirements. You will work both independently and collaboratively, contributing to experimental work, process improvements, and maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Job Description
Amaris Consulting is looking for a Research and Development Associate 2 to join our team.
As a Research and Development Associate 2, you will play a key role in the production and maintenance of plant and seed materials, ensuring high standards to meet customer requirements. You will work both independently and collaboratively, contributing to experimental work, process improvements, and maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Your responsibilities :
- You will carry out the daily production and maintenance of plant and seed materials, ensuring they meet quality standards and are properly maintained under glasshouse conditions.
- You will conduct experimental tests using established and innovative screening methods, working both independently and collaboratively.
- You will ensure compliance with all relevant regulations (DEFRA, CBD, QMS, HSE) related to GMOs and licensed plant material in controlled environments.
- You will liaise with the Technical Support Team to provide high-quality service and maintain strong customer satisfaction.
- You will develop technical knowledge and skills through hands-on experience with diverse production and testing techniques.
- You will maintain accurate records and databases, ensuring traceability, precision, and accountability in your work.
- You will contribute to continuous improvement by identifying efficiency gains, enhancing screening methods, and participating in test planning when required.
- You will bring a relevant qualification (Sciences, Biology, Horticulture or equivalent) and at least two years of experience in a similar sector, aligned with the sector’s requirements.
- You will apply your knowledge of plant biology, seed production, and horticultural techniques to support technical operations.
- You will demonstrate strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with attention to detail and the ability to work effectively with others.
- You will show proficiency in Microsoft Office and adapt easily to new tools and tasks.
- You will work with autonomy, motivation, and time management, contributing actively as a self-starter and reliable team player.
