This is an exciting time to join Dudley’s Care Experienced Service as we seek to improve our offer to Dudley’s care experienced young people.
The Care Experienced Team in Dudley works with care leavers aged 16 – 25 years old. Our dedicated Care Experienced service is expanding, and we are looking to recruit 3 Senior Personal Advisors to join our team of Personal Advisors who provide vital support and advice to our Care Experienced young people during their transition from living in care to adult life.
In Dudley we are creating a team dedicated to provide consistent and quality support to Care Experienced young people so that they can have the very best start in adult life to live happy, healthy, safe and independent lives.
To achieve our ambitious improvements, we are seeking to recruit 3 motivated, skilled and experienced Senior Personal Advisors, who would have a dedicated key area to lead on: either Housing, Education and Employment/Apprenticeships or Subject to Access Requests (SARs), offering specific support to care experienced young people, and colleagues in respect of the area you will specialise in.
The service is passionate about ensuring our care experienced young people are offered the best opportunities possible to:
- engage in education, training and employment opportunities
- acquire budgeting and key life skills
- secure and maintain their accommodation and housing options
- live a healthy lifestyle and access all health services they require
- make good and positive use of community and leisure services
- promote their family and friendship links
- be aware of their responsibilities as citizens
This is a 12 month fixed term contract role and a unique opportunity to join our dedicated team to create more capacity and lead on good practice, so why not come and join us.
