Are you a seasoned IT professional with a passion for both traditional infrastructure and cutting edge cloud technologies? We're looking for a Cloud Engineer to join our dynamic team and help shape the future of our IT landscape. As our IT team are responsible for overseeing the entire commercial sector of the wider group, this role would be an excellent move for someone who is used to working in an MSP environment and can take on project work across both RMG and other subsidiaries within the group
Role Overview:
This hybrid role blends the responsibilities of an Infrastructure Engineer with those of a Cloud Engineer. You'll ensure the stability, performance, and security of our IT infrastructure while driving innovation through cloud adoption and automation. You'll work across on premises and cloud environments (Azure and AWS) supporting critical systems and leading infrastructure transformation projects.
Where will I be working?
You will be based at our offices in Northwich, CW9 7LN. This is a hybrid role 3 days per week in the office and 2 from home

Where will I be working?

Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable, and resilient infrastructure solutions across cloud and on-premises platforms.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, acting as a 3rd/4th line escalation point.
- Lead infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and deployments with minimal disruption.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including build guides and topology diagrams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, cost-effective solutions.
- Ensure compliance with security standards and conduct vulnerability assessments.
- Provide warranty and post-deployment support, ensuring smooth transition to operations.
- Mentor and upskill IT Service Desk and junior engineers.
Essential:
- Proven experience in IT infrastructure engineering and cloud environments.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure and AWS,
- Previous experience working with Citrix
- Expertise in virtualization, networking, storage, and server technologies.
- Excellent troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
- Strong communication and documentation abilities.
- Familiarity with hybrid-cloud environments and serverless architecture.
- Previous experience in a similar enterprise-scale environment.
