Job Description

As our Vehicle Checker / Fleet Administrator (known internally as Fleet Ambassador), your key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring all vehicles are checked for condition and road worthiness, reporting exceptions via the vehicle check app and defect procedure.
  • Conducting start and end of contract handovers for Owner Driver leased vehicles and hire vans.
  • Performing daily checks on all fleet vehicles, including rentals, and recording conditions via the Vehicle App.
  • Monitoring vehicle weight compliance for 3.5 Tonne Vans using the weighbridge.
  • Checking and maintaining associated vehicle equipment and ensuring site adherence to health and safety rules.
  • Managing vehicle damage reports, including 21-day notices, and coordinating with the Transport Team.
  • Conducting weekly checks on the HGV fleet and maintaining fleet stock.
  • Reporting fleet accidents on the TranMan portal and ensuring all drivers comply with uniform standards and vehicle cleanliness.

This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently while following all depot instructions and procedures.
