Job Overview
This post is fixed term / secondment for 6 months due to funding.

We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative individual with excellent people skills and a compassionate approach to leadership to join our team in a unique and crucial role supporting the Central Surgical Management Team.
The post holder will provide a highly effective and supportive role in the management of the surgical clinical governance position within the directorate together with medical workforce recruitment and rota co-ordination.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

The post holder would be responsible for providing administration support for the surgical clinical governance position. Duties of which include:

Main duties of the job
The post holder would be responsible for providing administration support for the surgical clinical governance position. Duties of which include:
- Communicate directly with complainants, obtaining accurate accounts of concerns
- Work closely with clinicians to obtain responses in relation to patient complaints
- Receive and respond to on the spot concerns with sensitivity and resolving concerns where possible within recommended timescales
- Management and investigation of complaints and incidents within the appropriate timescales
- DATIX management
- Provide a robust system of feedback to staff in the directorate with a view to driving quality and safety improvement
- Raising ECRs and advertising vacant medical posts
- Confirming job descriptions/person specifications
- Co-ordinating shortlisting and interview dates
- Arranging stakeholder panels
- Managing reference checks
- Managing all medical staff changes via the SMA app
- Ensuring rota compliancy
- Managing sickness in line with policy
