  • 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays)
  • Permanent contract, 37 hours per week.
  • Salary is £25,183 – £27,269 per annum for 37 hours per week

What will I be doing?

We’re working to improve the lives of people in Somerset – and you’ll be a key part of that. Your day-to-day work will involve:

  • Produce and update CAD floor plans, updating associated property database records, assisting with some general administration relevant to the team to enable the council to manage its property portfolio more efficiently
  • Undertake on-site measured building surveys
  • Gather and maintain property record information

What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?

We offer ongoing support, training and guidance to help you be the best you can be. But it will really help if you:

  • Have a good working knowledge and experience of AutoCAD and experience of measuring buildings, also a knowledge of building construction would be advantageous.
  • Woking knowledge of a GIS Mapping system would be advantageous, although not essential.
  • Able to travel to our various properties across Somerset.
  • Have some admin experience and a good working knowledge of Microsoft office.
  • Are self-motivation and have the ability to work well within a team environment are key for this role.
  • Able to demonstrate an aptitude for learning and the ability to develop technical skills and areas of knowledge.
