Your responsibilities:
- Ensure a safe and efficient workplace is maintained at all times, to provide an environment to achieve zero accidents.
- Adherence to health and safety policy and procedures. Safe systems of work, PPE, near miss reporting.
- Adherence to quality procedures.
- Lead a cross-functional team and rotate tasks to maintain skills and strengthen team.
- Ownership and responsibility of the team, manage the day-to-day activities.
- Offer guidance, direction and motivation to achieve targets and goals.
- Delegate tasks for receiving, storage, transfers and shipping of goods.
- Monitor Eurolog for haulier bookings.
- Adherence to stock management systems.
- Assessing the team’s performance by assisting with regular appraisals of team members.
- Develop team strengths and improve weaknesses. Coach and train team members to develop necessary skills.
- JDE is operated as per training. To ensure accurate stock levels are maintained for cost purposes, to ensure customer orders can be delivered OTIF and the production plan can be met. Control stock movements during any JDE outages.
- Effective communication from shift-to-shift, management, customer services and outside warehouses.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of Supply Chain Operators, ensuring that all aspects of warehouse operations function smoothly.
- Experience in leading a team in a warehousing and logistics environment.
- Responsible for overseeing all activities of the Supply Chain Operators.
- Good written/verbal communication skills and distributing of information to team.
- Lead by example.
- Ability to delegate/assign tasks and make clear decisions.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Good problem solving skills and continuous improvement.
- Knowledge and operation of WMS.
- Sufficient level of numeracy and literacy, with strong attention to detail (results oriented and focus on accuracy).
- Able to work under pressure and prioritise tasks.
- Provide support and ask for help when needed. Willing to take on new training and train/coach other operators
