Activity Leader / Student Services Officer (Residential)

Our Activity leader / Student Services Officer role is a fast paced, varied, challenging and rewarding role, with no day the same!
You are part of a first line support team at the heart of the school, responsible for delivering a variety of areas of student support. The main responsibilities will be for activities and residential accommodation, as well as all aspects of customer care in the student journey at Stafford House International.
We’re a fast-paced, vibrant English Language School, based in the Cambridge and our Student Services Officer are based in our school’s Reception. We welcome hundreds of young adults from overseas each year. We provide English language courses and support students with their accommodation, safety and well-being. We also offer a wide range of activities and excursions. As Activity Leader/Student Services Officer, you will be the first port-of-call for their questions ranging from checking them in/out, accommodation queries, to adjusting to life in Cambridge.

Here’s some of what’s involved as our Activity Leader/Student Welfare Officer?
Leading the activities programme, including the booking of excursions and promoting the activity with students & leading activitiesPlanning a high-quality programme of activities and excursions
Motivating and encouraging students to take an active part in the programme
Supervise and look after the safety and welfare of students, with a particular focus on under 18s
Managing evening activities when we have groups, such as games and film night
Liaising with the Student Services Manager to maintain the social programme budget
Covering for the Residential Student Services Officer as required, check in of new arrivals and check out of departing students, including conducting passport and visa compliance checks
Supporting with the general administration of the school, including assisting other departments
Supporting with student welfare
Participating in the school out of hours emergency phone rota. This will occasionally include weekends, including overseeing arrivals and departures
