Position

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Business Manager based at Eglinton House, Ailsa Hospital.

PLEASE NOTE INTERVIEWS WILL BE HELD ON 30TH JUNE FOR THIS POST.

What You Will Do

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated individual with Business Management experience and strong leadership skills to join the Nurse Directorate within NHS Ayrshire and Arran.

As lead for Corporate Governance for the Nurse Directorate, you will ensure robust management of governance arrangements through close and effective working relationships with our Senior Management Team and continued development and improvement of directorate governance systems. The post holder will build and maintain robust systems and processes, and lead on the effective delivery of Nurse Directorate Business functions including meeting structures, strategic planning cycles, performance management, financial planning, administration, Staff Governance, Corporate Records Management, Risk Management and Resilience/Business Continuity.

Knowledge, Training And/or Experience Required To Do The Job

  • You must have strong influencing skills and the capacity to provide specialist advice and expertise to the Nurse Director, Senior Team and beyond.
  • On behalf of the Nurse Director, you will lead on projects and will have delegated responsibility from the Nurse Director for decision making and undertaking pieces of work that span the breadth of the Directorate, and impact on organisational objectives and delivery of Scottish Government directives.
  • You will have line management responsibility for the Directorate Admin team and as such, will have previous Line Management experience within the NHS.
  • You will be educated to degree level with significant Business Management experience. They will demonstrate in-depth knowledge of governance principles and the development of systems and frameworks to establish clear accountabilities based on effective performance management protocols.
  • We are looking for candidates with strong leadership potential, highly tuned emotional intelligence and a proven track record of implementing effective governance and business management systems.
