This is an exciting opportunity to join Balfour Beatty, as we have been selected as a construction partner for the Rolls-Royce Major Upgrade Programme in Derby. This much-needed and high-profile project and is critical to supporting growth in demand from the Ministry of Defence (MOD) and the requirements of the AUKUS agreement. Over the next eight years, Balfour Beatty will deliver the programme in phases, including infrastructure enabling works, and major redevelopment work.
We’re looking for a Document Controller to join our dedicated team and ensure the smooth and secure management of project documentation throughout its lifecycle.
This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of a high-profile programme, supporting the delivery of complex construction and engineering works over an eight year programme.
What you'll be doing
As a Document Controller you will be:
Managing and controlling the flow of documents between internal teams, the client, and subcontractors
Ensuring all project documentation is accurately logged, filed, and easily accessible
Maintaining up-to-date records in line with project requirements and quality standards
Supporting compliance with document control processes and procedures
Coordinating drawing approvals, technical submissions, and version control
Assisting with project handover documentation and audits.
Who we're looking for
You will have the following:
Proven experience as a Document Controller in the construction or engineering sector.
Familiarity with document control procedures and document management systems.
High attention to detail with excellent organisational skills.
Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate clearly with a range of stakeholders.
Knowledge of ISO 9001 or similar quality standards is desirable.
