Job Overview

About The Role

We're on the lookout for a business-minded paralegal with experience in commercial contracts or corporate law looking to take the next step in their legal career. You'll play a key role in the PLC’s legal function, joining a small-but-mighty team of three lawyers, you will take ownership of all contracts across the business valued up to £50,000. Using your strong understanding of English contract law and commercial legal principles, you’ll review each contract, reporting to the Executive on relevant legal risks, also ensuring compliance with internal due diligence and governance requirements.

As our Paralegal, you'll be driving our "fast track" legal process with energy and efficiency. You'll be at the forefront, ensuring contracts move swiftly while meeting all legal and governance standards.

Working closely with stakeholders, you'll identify risks, gather necessary information, and keep the process running smoothly.

Here's What You Can Expect To Be Doing

  • Manage "fast track" legal process
  • Liaise with stakeholders for contract approvals
  • Note relevant risks and ensure adherence to legal and governance processes
  • Populate simple template contracts
  • Assist lawyers in compiling training materials
  • Arrange document signatures, including e-sign solutions
  • Arrange for documents to be legalised when required
  • Create MI reporting on the use and compliance of the "fast track" legal process

A Few Things About You

  • Experience of working in a paralegal role
  • Law degree / GDL or equivalent qualification preferred.
  • Confident reviewing contracts
  • Good organisation and multitasking skills
  • Stakeholder management
  • Knowledge of Contract Works desirable
  • Excellent attention to detail
