Role Overview
As the Sales and Growth Lead, you will drive G2G’s expansion—securing strategic partnerships, increasing user engagement, and scaling revenue. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the brand’s presence in the football scouting industry and ensuring young talent gets discovered.
This is a high-impact, high-ownership role. You’ll have the autonomy to test, scale, and lead bold growth initiatives—directly influencing our growth trajectory, player reach, and industry partnerships.
What You’ll Be Driving
Sales & Business Development
- Develop and execute a sales strategy to grow G2G’s user base and partnerships.
- Build strong relationships with football clubs, academies, and scouts.
- Identify new markets and opportunities to expand G2G’s reach.
- Own end-to-end negotiations to secure sponsorships, collaborations, and partnerships.
- Build and maintain a scalable, high-quality sales pipeline.
- Target and convert a defined number of strategic accounts within your first 6–12 months.
- Proactively identify and close new business opportunities across youth football ecosystems.
- Work cross-functionally to experiment with outreach tactics, boosting conversion and deal velocity.
Growth Strategy & User Acquisition
- Optimise digital marketing and user acquisition channels to drive sign-ups.
- Design and launch campaigns to engage young footballers and increase platform participation.
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve platform visibility and brand awareness.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and competitor moves.
- Launch and evaluate A/B-tested user acquisition campaigns each quarter.
- Aim to double user engagement metrics (e.g., profile completion, video uploads, interactions) within 6 months.
Revenue Generation & Performance Tracking
- Define and own KPIs across subscriptions, sponsorships, and partnerships.
- Create and execute monetisation strategies to boost recurring revenue.
- Set and exceed ambitious growth targets—such as increasing paid conversions and partnership value.
- Analyse user data and business performance to identify and act on growth opportunities.
- Work with product and tech teams to improve retention and customer lifetime value (LTV).
- Build reporting dashboards to enable data-driven decision-making.
Brand Awareness & Community Engagement
- Champion G2G’s mission to transform football scouting and empower emerging players.
- Represent G2G at industry events, football expos, and community gatherings.
- Expand brand visibility through social media, influencer partnerships, and grassroots campaigns.

Core Qualifications
- Proven experience in sales, business development, or growth roles (preferably in sports, tech, or start-ups).
- Strong network or relationship-building skills within football clubs, academies, or the sports industry.
- Excellent negotiation, pitching, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Understanding of football scouting, player development, and the youth football landscape.
- Ability to analyse metrics and adjust strategies for performance.
Nice to Have (But Not a Dealbreaker)
- Degree in Business, Marketing, Sports Management, or a related field (relevant experience may outweigh formal education).
- Experience in digital marketing, influencer strategy, or user acquisition.
- Personal passion for football and knowledge of grassroots or youth development systems.
