About the Role
This is a newly created, part-time role (25 hours per week), responsible for establishing and running a credit control function that supports both the UK and US businesses within the Fidelity Group of companies. You will play a vital role in supporting the company’s working capital and profitability by managing and reducing outstanding debt while minimising bad debts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Creditor Management: Proactively chasing debtors to meeting the Group's DSO objectives and initiating the internal stop procedure for non-payment.
- Credit Reviews: Create and maintain an early stage credit review process for all prospective customers and periodic on-going reviews for all existing customers using credit agency reports, statutory filings and other financial evidence
- Debtor Statements: Issue monthly customer statements ensuring their awareness of account status and prompt payment.
- Liquidation Process: Liaise with debt collection, administrators and liquidators in the event of customer insolvency, making and evidencing claims for outstanding debt.
- Stakeholder Management: Liaising with all internal and external stakeholders when investigating account queries ensuring swift resolution and awareness of the issue through frequent and timely reporting
- Accounts Receivable: Using Access Financials oversee the posting and allocation of payments to the Accounts Receivable ledger.
- Month-End Processing: Follow a robust month-end cut off process, ensuring that all cash is posted in the period received and the accounts payable ledger is fully reconciled to the general ledger.
- Accurate Information Sharing: Provide precise details about our and our clients products, services, policies, and procedures.
- Complaint Resolution: Efficiently handle customer complaints, ensuring their satisfaction and continued cooperation
- Record Keeping: Maintain detailed and accurate customer records in our company systems.
- Collaboration: Work with various departments and colleagues to address customer needs and escalate complex issues, while supporting team members as and when required.
- Trend Reporting: Identify and report customer feedback trends to help improve our services and processes.
- Continuous Learning: Participate in training and development programs to stay updated on our products and services.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience:
- Proven experience in delivering best-in-class credit control
- Experience of working across a multi-entity business or international business
- Demonstrable track record in reducing aged debtors and improving debtor days.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office applications and accounting systems (we use Access Financials, so preference is given to those with this)
- Problem-Solving: Ability to gather information from stakeholders to identify and solve issues.
- Customer Focus: A passion for creating positive customer experiences.
- Adaptability: Resilience and professionalism in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Team Player: Strong team ethos with excellent collaboration skills.

Pay & Benefits:
- Pay: Up to £36,000 pro rata
- Holiday: 23+8 days holiday increasing to 25+8 after 3 years service.
