R&D Laboratory Technician

Join our Research & Development team as a Laboratory Technician at our Haverhill manufacturing site to play an integral role. We are a leading Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) specializing in the development and production of high-quality pharmaceutical products.
The Laboratory Technician is an essential role in our growing R&D team, providing support services to laboratory-based scientists. The core activities of which are to ensure equipment and facilities are maintained, calibrated and ready to use, and that consumables are always stocked.
Your Responsibilities
You will:
- Completion of routine equipment calibration checks in accordance with the calibration schedule.
- Arranging for 3rd party equipment engineers for equipment maintenance and repair
- Supervision of 3rd party engineers
- Check laboratory consumables stock levels and order replacements as required.
- Ordering consumables, reagents and equipment from internal stores or external vendors as required.
- Processing laboratory deliveries, receipt, storage and notifications
- Assisting with the maintenance of the R&D GMP facility
- Accurate recording keeping in specified forms (electronic and paper) with accuracy and responsibility and keeping accurate records with GMP and Data Integrity principles in mind.
- Cleaning of the GMP Class D R&D Facility
- Assisting scientists with other housekeeping duties

The EUROAPI Haverhill (UK) site has been established for forty years, located fifteen miles east of Cambridge and sixty miles north of London, within the golden triangle. It employs over 250 people and has built a strong reputation in Flow Chemistry, Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) Spray Drying and as a Contract Development and Manufacturing Organisation (CDMO). Haverhill is proud to house the world’s largest, continuous production, pharmaceutical spray dryer and performs secondary packaging and release activities for oncology and rare disease medicines supporting global markets. The site also offers a contract testing and release facility within its laboratories.
Our Requirements
- Proven experience in a laboratory setting, ideally within a support or technician role
- Strong knowledge of laboratory equipment, calibration, and maintenance procedures
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage inventory effectively
- Familiarity with health, safety, and quality standards in a laboratory environment
- Attention to detail and the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and operational efficiency
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
