This role reports directly to the Senior Vice President of International Markets within the Point of Care (POC) Diagnostics business line. The Head of POC for Great Britain & Ireland (GB&I) is responsible for developing and executing the overall commercial strategy, driving revenue growth, and expanding market presence for the company’s point-of-care diagnostics business. The role oversees approximately 31 full-time employees (FTEs) and holds full profit and loss (P&L) accountability, encompassing marketing, sales, and customer service functions.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic commercial plans to achieve revenue targets, exceed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and grow market share for POC diagnostics across existing and new product portfolios in diverse settings, including the NHS, private hospitals and clinics, and distribution channels.
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing commercial team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation to surpass business objectives.
- Oversee end-to-end sales processes, including lead generation, pipeline management, territory optimization, and accurate sales forecasting, leveraging CRM tools and data-driven insights.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with key customers, distributors, and industry stakeholders to drive business growth, secure partnerships, and identify emerging opportunities.
- Monitor and analyze market trends, customer needs, regulatory shifts, technological advancements, and competitive landscapes to inform targeted commercial strategies and ensure market leadership.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with upstream marketing, product development, regulatory affairs, customer service centers and sales operations to align on product launches, market positioning, and customer success.
- Partner with other Siemens Healthineers GB&I(SHS) business areas, such Enterprise Services, to enhance business opportunities and ensure customers meet contractual commitments.
- Champion process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives to streamline commercial operations, enhance efficiency, and drive measurable outcomes.
- Deliver actionable insights through regular reporting on sales performance, pipeline activity, and market trends to executive leadership, in collaboration with Commercial Excellence teams.
- Lead quarterly business reviews with customer stakeholders to evaluate performance, address challenges, and align on strategic priorities.
- Develop and manage budgets, optimizing resource allocation to maximize return on investment (ROI) and ensure financial discipline.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, sales, marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive sales leadership experience in the diagnostic, medical technology, or point of care industry, with a proven track record of driving sales growth and achieving revenue targets
- Proven track record of success in sales leadership roles, particularly in the diagnostics or other relevant medical device segments.
- Must understand sales processes, techniques, and methodologies, with documented success in consultative selling and complex sales cycles
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve results
- Experience in account management and collaboration with C-suite and key stakeholders
- Excels at conflict management to eliminate where possible barriers to success
- Strategic thinker with a demonstrated ability to develop and execute marketing strategies, sales plans, identify new or emerging opportunities, and drive business growth
- Experienced in developing and maintaining an accurate sales funnel/pipeline and forecast in conjunction with finance and supply chain functional partners
- Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data and metrics to make informed decisions and drive performance improvements
- Proven ability to present and effectively communicate to customers, direct reports and also SHS management
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and market conditions
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices in the diagnostic, medical technology, and point of care sectors
- Able to work remotely and travel to support sales activities and engage with customers, partners, and attend industry events as needed throughout GB&I
