Workshop Manager
Sebastian Cox Ltd

Workshop Manager at Sebastian Cox
We’re looking for a highly organised and enthusiastic Workshop Manager to lead the smooth and efficient running of our Margate workshop.
Our Workshop Manager is responsible for leading our team of brilliant makers in delivering multiple, varied projects running concurrently, on time and to an excellent standard.
This includes scheduling, supporting and encouraging our team of makers, timber procurement and collaborating with our Studio Manager to connect the studio and the workshop.
This is an opportunity to join a vibrant and wonderful team to deliver beautiful and varied work for clients of all kinds. This is also an opportunity for someone to make a tangible and positive impact within our business; we are always striving to learn and grow.
Managerial experience is essential. An understanding of wood and working with it is important. An interest in furniture and regenerative design is important too.
This is a full-time role (full-time at Sebastian Cox is a nine-day fortnight) based in our workshop in Margate, and amongst our makers, with time spent at both the workbench and computer. You will report directly to Sebastian and Brogan and work in close collaboration with our Studio Manager.

- Has managerial experience, with previous demonstration of leading a team.
- Has experience in product, furniture or interior design with a keen interest in how furniture is made.
- Is highly organised and self-motivated.
- Has CNC experience.
- Has an eye for detail, a positive attitude, and strong time management.
- Has a full driving license.
Importantly.
Nature made each of us unique. No-one is the same and that’s our greatest strength. We’re committed to creating an environment where every member of our team can bring their full selves to work so we’re looking for someone regardless of their race, colour, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age or veteran status. We’re only interested in how well you can do the job we need doing. Nothing else.
