Job Purpose

To assist the Head of Digital and Content in developing and managing the Wrexham AFC brand, supported by effective marketing strategies to maximise commercial return across all revenue-generating areas of the Club.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute major campaigns and day-to-day promotional and tactical activity across digital and traditional media platforms.
  • Creation of centralised marketing content, creative briefs, budgeting, execution and implementation across a range of platforms, print sourcing and buying and design process management.
  • Prioritise delivery of marketing campaigns and materials for ticketing, retail, membership, commercial and hospitality areas.
  • Support event promotions and partner activations with marketing collateral.
  • Work closely with Head of Communications on social media, website and printed marketing content.
  • Manage the Club’s brand and protect its integrity and value on a day-to-day basis.
  • Analyse and adapt campaign content to diverse platforms to ensure they are effective.
  • Provide customer insight and inform future marketing campaigns through platform and data analytics.
  • Support with budget management and cost control.
  • Advertise and grow the Club’s ticketing, retail, hospitality and membership schemes.
  • Ensure Club’s brand guidelines, style guide and tone of voice are adhered to at all times and communicated effectively to all departments.
  • Develop creative briefings for agencies and freelancers for graphic design and video content.
  • Ensure the Club’s platforms and retail sites provide a seamless user experience.
  • Liaise with the Club’s Data Protection Officer (DPO) to ensure the completion of the relevant legal paperwork for new integrations and projects.
  • The role will require occasional presence on matchdays and other event days to assist in liaising with officials, and other stakeholders as required.
  • Any other duties as required.

About The Candidate

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

  • Degree in relevant area (Marketing, Brand Management) and/or a number of years’ experience normally associated with this level of qualification.
  • Demonstrable experience (at least 3 years) in a similar role - ideally within sports or entertainment industry with a global reach.
  • Strong creative aspect with proven experience working and managing external creative agencies.
  • Experience in using CRM systems.
  • Experience in analysing data and developing insight reports.
