Elekta
is seeking a Lead Product Specialist responsible for providing expert technical support for products in the field, investigating escalated issues, and ensuring timely problem resolution either remotely or through onsite visits.


What you’ll do at Elekta


As a Lead Product Specialist, you will collaborate closely with Engineering (R&D) experts and cross-functional teams to minimize customer impact and ensure timely resolution.

As a Product Specialist, you will work with world-leading radiotherapy technology in a clinical environment, making this a challenging yet fulfilling role. Your contributions will enhance the technical support capabilities of a dynamic and multidisciplinary team. With a strong focus on customer service, user safety, and system uptime, you will play a crucial role in maintaining customer satisfaction.

This position offers Hybrid working with flexibility of working from office 3 days a week.


Responsibilities

  • Provide expert technical support for Elekta's Linac Solutions products.

  • Manage global service complaints/incidents - Investigate and resolve escalated issues remotely or through onsite visits.

  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders and manage expectations.

  • Collaborate with Engineering and cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical problems.

  • Ensure professional and efficient service support while prioritising user safety and system uptime.

  • Stay updated on product advancements and new features to provide accurate support.

  • Support the Incident Management Team in handling safety field events.

  • Maximise utilisation of an intelligent install base through innovative Remote Centred Maintenance (RCM) methods and proactive approaches to minimise customer impact.

  • Empower and guide others with proactive and insightful mentorship within the organization.

  • Drive service innovation and influence the service and technical product roadmap.

  • Represent BL Service during regulatory and quality audits as a Service Subject Matter Expert.

  • Lead root cause cross functional investigation for product issues impacting the install base.


What you bring

  • Expert specialist in sub-systems, products, or field support with knowledge of the latest technical advancements. High level of knowledge of the business line product portfolio.

  • 10 or more years of successful and specific technical experience of complex products or systems. 2 or more years of experience within a relevant service organization is desirable.

  • Proven leadership skills – 3 years or more of technical leadership experience with complex systems. A mentor and coach of developing colleagues.

  • Degree qualified or significant relevant experience. Minimum of an HND/HNC in an engineering or scientific subject.

  • Proven hands-on electrical, mechanical, and control systems fault finding and repair skills on complex systems.

  • Understanding of industry standards such as ITIL, Agile SAFe, Project Management, ISO etc.

  • Background working in a regulated medical environment supporting systems in the field.
