First Line Manager / Registered Manager

Full time role – 37.5 hours per week

£37,167.31 per annum

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Manager to oversee a small group of CQC-registered residential, supported living and outreach services in Dewsbury and Wakefield. In this role you will be leading, developing, and supporting people with disabilities to live a healthy and happy life.

As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality, person-centred care across the services. You will lead and support your team to uphold the highest standards, promote independence, and enhance the lives of the people we support.

As a Manager, you will ensure that client-focused services are delivered and developed effectively and efficiently, in line with policy, best practice guidance, legislation and our values of being Person-Centred, Respectful, Open, Understanding and Dedicated (PROUD).

You will have an eye for detail in your service and as you will be people-focused, you will also have an eye for talent. You will be a natural leader, who supports each team to deliver quality care to the people we support.

Main duties of the job

  • Oversee the day-to-day management of residential and supported living services.
  • Ensure compliance with CQC regulations and drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop staff, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Work in partnership with families, professionals, and external stakeholders.
  • Manage budgets and resources effectively.
  • Develop and implement support plans tailored to individual needs.
  • Management experience or significant leadership experience in a similar setting.
  • A strong understanding of CQC regulations and compliance.
  • Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • A commitment to delivering person-centred care and positive outcomes.
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards).
  • Driving licence essential

Detailed Job Description And Main Responsibilities

Responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective links within your team(s), with other organisations, and agencies, or workers whose role(s) may impact upon your service area.

Responsibility for contributing to the successful future development of St. Anne’s by highlighting opportunities within the broad corporate aims of the organisation. This will include contributions to policy and procedures and to service developments.

Responsible for ensuring that you and staff within your service comply with St. Anne’s values and beliefs, policies and procedures. In addition that any legal or contractual obligations are fully met.

Responsible and accountable for the quality of the service provided within your defined area.

Responsible for ensuring that active steps are taken to minimise the occurrence of voids.
